Blackwashed Media is a digital art series that reimagines iconic characters from film and television by placing Black individuals, including myself, into their roles. This project is a visual exploration of representation, challenging the established norms of popular culture and asserting the presence of Black narratives within familiar stories. From superheroes to time travelers, these portraits offer a fresh perspective on beloved characters, inviting viewers to question and expand their understanding of who gets to be the hero.
